My paintings are inspired by a lifelong passion for color and form.   I have always been attracted to simple geometric shapes.   The language of dimensional reduction is the essence of my work, and I simplify my compositions through the elimination of extraneous information, drawing attention to the expressiveness that lies in a silent order.  I find myself constantly observing my surroundings, and have a longing to express my discoveries and feelings about them.  In this new series paint, gesture and symbolic images are used to reveal emotions and introspection.
